Ginny
Fox is a New York artist whose richly reductive paintings explore
the merging of color, light and surface. The work references many
different natural and fabricated materials
resulting in a unique amalgamation all its own. The visual discourse
between microcosm and macrocosm allows the viewer to experience a
place where a close up view of a stone, the threads of a textile,
as well as a distant view of the night sky co-exist. The markings
and colors that almost, but don’t quite connect evoke a sense
of both continuity and change.
Ginny Fox has had numerous solo shows in
New York. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United
States.
